ABOUT US
Every child deserves to feel loved, valued, and supported. But for the 800,000 children living in foster care across South Africa and the United States, this reality is often out of reach. Many face overwhelming challenges, with fewer than 50% remaining in school to achieve a basic education. Without the right support, they struggle to build a future filled with hope and opportunity. At The Love Quilt Project (LQP), we believe in changing that reality – one quilt at a time. Through acts of love and compassion, we provide funding for educational needs and engage children in both countries to create art squares filled with heartfelt messages of kindness and encouragement. These squares are stitched into beautiful handmade quilts and given to children living in foster care, wrapping them in warmth and love. More than just a blanket, each quilt is a tangible reminder that they are seen, valued, and never alone.
Serving Hope will celebrate the thousands of children we have helped while raising the necessary funds to provide the programs to help more foster children.
